Both cover 80 conditions, but Critical Care is an accelerated rider (claims reduce life coverage) while Critical Care Plus is additional (claims paid on top), and adds ICU Shield, Reconstructive Care, Wellness Bonus and the Assurance Upgrade Privilege.

When the life assured is admitted into ICU for 3 continuous days in one admission and requires at least one listed essential life support. It pays 10% of the rider sum assured, capped at RM250,000, once per life.

A bonus of 20% of sum assured for entry age 50 and below — ask Annabel how it applies to your situation.
